About Me

I’m Daniel Ernst, Associate AI Strategist and Assistant Professor of English at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. I hold a Ph.D. in English from Purdue University, where I focused on AI and automated language technologies, writing assessment, quantitative education research, and rhetoric.

I lead university initiatives that integrate AI into teaching, research, and academic administration. I also teach courses in rhetoric and composition, grammar, technical and scientific communication, research methods, and AI. This site includes an occasionally updated blog on education, AI, public policy, and teaching, plus the occasional reflective essay.
